He's having fun in his car that Susan bought him (see pics from today) and he's growing
his *first* mohawk. He's also going through a bit of a separation anxiety whenever
Susan or I leave him alone for more than one minute. We've spoiled him already!!!
In other news, our Passport has died pretty much for good. We've sunk over $3500 into it in
three years trying to fix the *same* problem without *any* luck. We're just now getting
it ready to sell... Awwww - end of an era. It would've been nine years old this Winter!

OMG - Smartest baby ever! lol - I know every parent says that and I can absolutely
understand why. All parents want to believe that their baby is above average, don't
they? Well, we think our little man is special for certain. Over the past week,
he's started to really get into mimicking what we say and do. I uploaded some
audio this morning from this week and this morning of him signing and "talking".
Seth's grandmother, Phyllis, bought him a full size plush soccer ball and he LOVES
it! When he's upstairs, I hold him in my arms (remember that he likes to look down)
and kick the soccer ball slowly in front of me. As I do this, I say "Ball" lightly
to him. I've been doing this for about a week now and he's starting to try to say "Ball"
back to me (so cute!). This morning he went back and forth with me about five times!!!
I was unable to catch those on tape but I did catch it once
(on the link for today titled "Seth singing himself to sleep and saying Ball") at
about minute 1:19.
I wish I had been able to record the other times (but the iRiver was downstairs)
- he only gets in those "moods" (singing, talking)
generally when he's sleepy ( he crashed a few seconds after saying Ball again lol). You
can also hear him talking/singing himself to sleep in my arms. How fun! I wish I had caught
the sounds when he was really talking a lot with me :(

Did you hear Seth talking to us? We put it up today... He's *really* starting to
imitate what we say to him - if you listen, you can hear Susan talk, then Seth
waits for her to finish and tries to copy her. He's so fun! He's also unpredictable;
who knows when he's going to sing/talk? The best we can tell is that when there's
nothing else going on, when he's in a good mood, it's quiet, and he's happy but sleepy,
*then* its time to sing and talk lol
He also went for his four-month checkup today (he's four months old yesterday!) -
he received the thumbs-up from the doc. The doc says that Seth is still the
top of the charts for height/weight. Also, we told him about some of things Seth
does (signing, saying consonants, mimicking) and he thought it was incredible that
he was doing these things at such a young age. We're so proud! Its all because
he has such a good Momma - Susan spends every second with him reading, singing,
teaching - he's very lucky to have such a great Mommy.
I'll post more pics of the bathroom when I finish. We've now
rescheduled some other things and we've changed the launch date of
my new company to push it back a few weeks so that we can have a chance at
trying to take a vacation this Fall/Winter. We're sorry we couldn't take our
vacation last week and come back to see everyone :( We really tried!!!!!

How fun - Austin is here for another week! We've had a great time - we set up my
Playstation so that we can play online now. I also took him to his first Hooters
yesterday lol - he got a big kick out of going there. We have lots of big plans
this week - but first we have to finish painting the bathroom!
Because we fell so far behind working on the bathroom, Scott had to forget about
taking any sort of vacation this week (as was planned) and we're finishing the
bathroom. Oh well - there's always this Fall for a nice cruise or something...
We hate to have scheduled a trip to see everyone and then have to bail out but
we really had no choice...

We're just having so much fun the past two weeks! First Linda Jo (Susan's mom) came
in town, then Larry (her Dad), and Larry brought Austin (our just-turned-13-year-old-nephew),
and now the news that there is a new nephew - John Lawrence (7.5 lbs, born on Monday).
Whew - that's a lot of good news in such a short time!
Congratulations to Vince, Mary Brooke, and little Ben on the new son (and baby brother).
We can't wait to meet him!!
We are having so much fun with Austin out here as well. He's been SOOOOOOO helpful - he
is so smart and picks up on *everything* so fast that he's just been a joy to have
over. He's helping us do a few things around the house (pics later). He did try to cut
my foot off though with a razor blade (dropped from eight feet) but all is okay...
I only needed 23 stitches (j/k)... I took pics and will post pics for evidence/guilt-factor
later hehe

so Seth can now stand up if Susan holds him very lightly under his arms. He's
been almost able to do it for a few weeks - how funny. I'll try to take some
video this week and post it.
How do you like the "mini-movie" of him eating his cereal? Isn't he just like a
little bird?!?! He enjoys it soooo much - its just fun to feed him!
And, for those who asked questions about it, there never was a July 1st entry;
I erroneously put that "placeholder" in,
a few people saw it, and they asked about it.
