Scott went to meet his friend, Doug, the other day.
Seth: "I want to go"
Scott: "No buddy, I'm going to meet Mr. Doug by myself."
Seth: quizzical look; turns head sideways
Seth: "Does he like to dig?"
Scott: Confused look
Susan: laughing - "Get it?"
And now Seth only wants to call him Mr. Dig. |
To the tune of 'Mr. Sandman':
Why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why?
Why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why?
Why, why, why, whyyyyy, why, why, why, why, whyyyyyy
Why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, wha-iiiiiii (long 'i')
Why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why?
Why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why?
That's what the past week has been with Seth! |
| Today while Seth and I were out raking leaves I over heard his conversation with the dogs.
Seth said, "Cowboy..what do you want to be when you grow up? Ruff ruff ruff ruff? What? One of Santa's reindeer? That's cool!...Cider..what do you want to be when you grow up? Ruff ruff ruff? A leaf pile? That's just crazy!"
He's a funny kid I tell ya. |
Susan: 'We need to get a Toys R Us catalog so you can look through it and find ideas to ask for from Santa!'
Seth: 'Ok... I’ll have to look at baby toys too so I can ask Santa to bring presents to Wyatt too!'
Awwwwwwww |
| Seth named Wyatt. It's as simple as that. Scott and I were tossing around some names and Scott came up with Whitten. I asked Seth, "what do you think about Whitten?" Seth said, "for what?" "For the baby's name." Then Seth made a terrible face and said, "NOOOO! My baby brother's name is Wyatt." It's been Wyatt since. So, provided that he stays a boy his name will be Wyatt Scott.
For those interested, we did a Nuchal Translucency Screening that tests for Down's syndrome and heart defects. It is a super intense ultra sound done before 14 weeks. Baby Wyatt is a IVF baby and I'm 36 so that put him at a slightly higher risk for Downs so we just wanted to have it checked out. There were no signs of Downs or anything other issue. He was a week behind at our first ultrasound but had caught up now. They are 80% sure he's a boy and from the photos I'm surprised it's not 90%! It was a wonderful experience to get to see a perfect little baby. We go for another u/s in 6 weeks and Seth will get to go with us.

| Seth woke up this morning and told Susan that baby Wyatt doesn't like Momma eating all the time because the food keeps dumping on him... |
|
So we had our 13 week sonogram yesterday and they think it's a boy! |
